Connections

The Connections Ministry begins to connect individuals to the church family and the church family to the world for the cause of Christ through practical service and opportune information. This is done through reaching out to visitors and returning guests, drawing those who attend First Baptist into service within the body, providing information about various FBC ministries, and coordinating and mobilizing the church for impact in the community.

Many First B Family members and those who have chosen to make First B “home”, find ways to connect with a ministry by serving within the church. A practical way to learn what we are doing as a church to be Disciples Who Make Disciples is to minister in our church and serve in the world for the cause of Christ with greater intentionality. Through being disciples by serving, opportunities to make disciples present themselves.

Adults who have chosen to make First B “home”, find ways to become a part of the ministry through service within the body. Many teams need help as we serve one another and help each other in the growth process in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

• First Impressions Teams make all who enter our doors for services or special events feel welcome through greeting, providing information at the Info Center and guiding people by ushering.
• Service Teams work behind the scenes with communion and baptism while we worship.
• Other Teams show love and care as Christ’s hands and feet to people in the church needing help through difficult times.
