Kid Church

Sunday Mornings

8:30, 10, & 11:30am

Every Sunday morning we gather to worship Jesus.  Our goal is to partner with parents to provide a world-class support to the things you're already teaching at home.

What We Do at Kid Church

Gospel-Centered Bible Teaching

The key piece of each morning is centered around the teaching of the Word.  Our teachers are sensitive to teach not just a single episode from the Bible, but to teach each passage as a part of the greater narrative of God's redemptive story.

Songs

Kids love singing songs that reinforce the Gospel truths they are hearing on Sunday mornings.

Small Groups

At Kid Church, kids get a short time of Small Groups to review the morning's lesson, connect with their friends, and pray together.  While Sunday is mostly large group with a short taste of small groups, Kid Life provides extended time in small groups for kids to learn together in community.

Crafts

We want to have things for all sorts of kids from kinesthetic to listening.  Crafts is one of those elements that helps kids focus and direct their attention toward Jesus.

Games

Kids start the morning playing games together and bringing a level of energy excitement that starts with games and continues throughout the morning.

What to expect on your first visit:

Come see us at the 1st B Kids info desk to the right of the main Information desk.

We'll have you fill out a page with some basic info about your family, so we can get your kids put in just the right classes.
If you want, you can even print it out now and fill it out before you come!

Then we'll print out a parent badge for you, and a name tag for your kid.

The kid's name tag tells you the class (and animal!) that they'll be in, and also has the room number so you can find it easily. The parent badge prints out double so you can tear it in half and share one with another parent or grandparent. You'll need this sticker to pick them up, so make sure you keep track of it! Our volunteers will check to make sure your badge matches the security code on your kid's name tag at pick up.
The name tags and badges also have a pager # on them, this number is what we'll put up on the small black screens throughout the church to let you know if your child needs you.

For families who have decided to make First Baptist their home church, we register their vein map using one of our cool scanners. These families can check in by simply sticking their finger in the scanner:

Then they select which kids are coming to church and for which services.

This makes check-in really easy. We've got 6 stations in our lobby and another upstairs in our 4th & 5th grade Treehouse.

We can't wait to see you at FBC Eugene!!
