May 27th will be our last Family Fun Night. Plan to bring your families and friends for a brand new Amazing Race, Ice Cream Sundaes and maybe even rides on the Camp Harlow fire truck!!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to partner with you in teaching God’s Word to your kids. The purpose of Kid Life is to provide life groups for your children and equip you as parents for you role as the primary faith trainers for you kids.
Each department will come together for a large group experience that will set up the life group period for success. This condensed time can include a Bible lesson, review memory verses and journals, crowd mixers, songs, skits, object lessons, and more.
This is why we do Kid Life and is the most important part of the evening. Kids will meet with their leader and study the Bible, discuss review and application questions, participate in “hands on” activities that reinforce the lesson, memorize Scripture, journal and prayer.
Kids will have a blast playing all-encompassing games each week at Kid Life. These games are designed to be fun, active, and build healthy team work and sportsmanship with each other.
3 steps that you can do with your kids at home.
1. Memorize the weekly verse (in Kid Life book)
2. Journal with your kids (in Kid Life book)
3. Review the Kid Life lesson sent home each week.
We have developed a three year curriculum for all ages based on the mission of FBC Eugene. This year all departments are be studying what it means to “Love like Jesus”. Your kids will learn a unit memory verse that captures the theme for each curriculum unit throughout the year. Additionally, the Kid Life book gives you a memory verse and Bible journaling plan to prepare each week’s Kid Life lesson at home. Your kids will be rewarded points for their efforts while at Kid Life and at home that can be used for a variety of prizes throughout the year.
Family Fun Nights
At the end of each unit, we will gather as one big family for Family Fun Nights! These nights will bring families and friends together as we review, celebrate, and have fun with what God has taught us during the previous weeks. The evening will be full of activities designed to bring families together. Feel free to invite anyone you consider to be family!
