Hello!  My name is Matt Erdmann and I am the middle school pastor at First Baptist.
  Thanks for taking the time to check out this site and get a feel for our church and the Solid Rock Mid-School crew!!
  We've got a lot of great things planned for middle school students and we are driven to provide a place for young people to have a blast, create memories, find friendships, feel accepted, and learn all they can about Jesus Christ in a way that connects them to their creator and gives them a real sense of His love.
  Middle school students are at a stage in their lives where everything is changing.  They are changing physically, emotionally, socially, mentally, and spiritually.  It can be a pretty challenging time for them and for parents too.  But it can also be very fun and exciting and a time that is full of energy and enthusiasm!!
  So we are here to help navigate the changes and to support students and parents.  We want to be available as a resource where young people feel like they belong and parents can feel good about sending their son or daughter to all that we have going on.
  We try to accomplish our goals through weekly gatherings, monthly events, service projects and retreat opportunities that will allow students to grow, connect, and develop into all that God has in store for them.
